Ty Daniel's rated Tustin Ranch among the highest, making it one of the nicest courses in Southern California. Designed by Ted Robinson and located right in the city of Tustin, CA. This course is very accessible from the business areas of Irvine, Santa Ana, and Orange.

From the vale parking to the starter you are treated very well. The staff through out the course is very professional. If you are traveling with out your equipment the pro-shop at Tustin Ranch golf course has all your needs covered. We were very surprised with the verity of golf equipment they had, Tustin Ranch even has a second pro-shop at the driving range for your convenience.
One of the signature holes at Tustin Ranch has to be the 11th hole. After you finish the front nine and grab a snack or lunch at the turn. You play the 10th and then cross over the bridge near the entrance and you can start to see the 11th hole. You see a small green basically surrounded by water and sand. As seen in the photos below from tee level and eye level.

Even if you can reach the green, you better hit it straight, as you can see the waterfalls cover both sides and false front into the water.
The waterscapes at Tustin Ranch are very intimidating, and get in your head. What might normally be an easy shot, turns into splash and a 'drop ball'. As a whole this course is for the intermediate to experienced golfer. But even a beginner can really enjoy the round, and the environment.

12th hole is the number 2 handicap hole for men's tees (seen above on the left). From the Blue's it's a 415 yard par 4, the fairway is pretty narrow as you can see, but you have water both to the right and left of you. Then when you think your in the clear by passing the water, there are too strategically placed sand bunkers to gobble up your drive.
Key Points:
1. One of the best GPS mapping system around
2. The ruff here will grab your ball giving little bounce and roll
3. Take an extra club up for shots in the ruff
4. Tragically place hazards, pick your landing place
5. Make sure to bring extra golf balls
See the 5th hole with out the GPS
Greens fee does not include a cart but we suggest that you upgrade for it, included with the cart is probably the best GPS available. As seen above.
The mapping gives you distances to hazards, topographic info, separate green view, sports score updates, and more. You can even order food at the turn from it quite easily. Having the GPS in the golf cart allows you to see the hole from the most perfect angle, and lets you see what is reachable or not.
The landscaping is breath-taking, and it really makes an impression, from the lush green fairways to the flower and palm trees the surround them. Every green has palm trees around it, so when you are hitting from the fairway or off to a side in the ruff, you can see about where the green is by the palm trees.
Ty Daniel's course reviews cover all details of the golf club brings. The experience you will have at Tustin Ranch can only be matched by a few local courses. This golf club offers an amazing tournament or large group golf experience.
The one thing you really need to watch out for is the ruff; it will take strokes off your game at this course. You need to keep it in the fairway as much as you can. Here in lays the problem, the fairways have huge bounce and will keep your ball rolling. A lot of the time right into the ruff, and then it just sticks. Once in the ruff you really need to take an extra club to just to get out of it and back into the fairway.
It's a great example of target golf, and can be very challenging; this course has been very well designed.
