Los Serranos Country Club - South Course 8th tee

Home of "Jack's Blacks" one of the longest courses in California, Los Serranos Country Club is located in Chino Hills part of San Bernardino County. There are two public courses at Los Serranos the North and  South Courses, Jack's Blacks is on the South Course.

Los Serranos South Course

Ty Rated

Being one of the longest courses around Los Serranos is a must to play. The overall condition are normally good, and is failry wide open for most holes. This is a great course for the average golfer. If you are feeling daring you can tee up from "Jack's Blacks" tees and see the course from a professional's point of view.

 

The South Course has good ungulations and great use of the hills around it to rise the level play. Very easy to get from hole to hole, and very easy to grab a hot dog or snack at the turn. We find that the useablity of courses is very important in making a memorable event.

 

The greens where in good condition the time we played there, and if you pay attention to the pin placement well you can help save yourself strokes. The hazards overall are in good condition, and if you are wide left or right of the fairways you are normally OK, by landing in another fairway.

 

 

Los Serranos North Course

Ty Rated

The North Course is shorter but still quite difficult with the placement of the large hazards. A lot of the time when you think you hit a gret drive you end up in a bunker or worse.

The North Course has an abundance of wild birds, ducks, and alike, wondering the fairways and normally in or near your approach shot. So you might hit a birdie, before you finish the hole.

Both public courses are fairly liked by most players and for the price it's a pretty good deal overall. The GPS provided does not have a map, it is for distances only, and is very helpful. Not only does it tell you how far but also how long your drive was, and everyone likes to know that.
