Swing through it, not at it

A quick tip to help some golfers with a Fade, Slice, Draw or Hook is just closing the club face, or just getting your body to fully follow through. Closing your club face can be an easy adjustment and a quick solution. By just getting the club face to be square on impact you will see a much straighter shot.

But what about getting your body to follow through ?

A lot of golfers have a hard time with a complete body follow through. Not only does a good golf swing incorporate a good club and upper body to follow through, but you must bring your lower body weight through too. Otherwise you will be left with all your body weight on your back foot, like a baseball swing. If you don't have the money for a video recorder or the new high tech Nokia N93 to film your golf swing to help you improve it, you might want to try this cheap quick tip.
Off the fairway Tired of being just off the fairway, instead of on it ?

A quick tip that might help some golfers is to think about “swinging through the ball and not just at it”. This way you get away from the baseball swing and get your body weight to come through to your front foot.

An easy way to help train your body to follow through is to:
1. Place a tee about 6 inches in front of your ball when you tee up for a drive. (as seen below)
2. Then line up as usual.
3. As you go to hit the ball, think about hitting the second tee after hitting the ball.

Great golf driving tip !

By making your mind think about hitting in front of the ball you are making your body and weight come forward and completely follow through with your swing. This little tip won’t fix all your swing problems but will help some golfers hit straighter drives.
