This course starts out with a bang, two par 5's in a row both over 500 yards. The biggest being on the back nine, the 14th hole is around 550 yards. Over all the course is not too difficult, there are a few holes like the 6th and 14th that have a pretty tuff dog-leg.

The driving range is right behind the pro shop and next to the 10th tee box for Los Lagos. It is very easy to stop by and hit a bucket of balls under the lights after a day at the office.
Trees line most of the fairways with palm trees here and there separating the different holes. Most holes the trees are pretty sparse but a few have wooded areas that are very hard to get out of.
It was difficult to navigate from hole to hole at each of the two Costa Mesa Golf Courses, but they have recently added more signs and better hole description signs too. Our staff has played here many times and it seems that the over conditions are getting better. The level of players that are normally on the course are beginner to intermediate. And there are normally a lot of people that walk the course, surprisingly you can walk this course pretty quick and keep up with players that are riding in carts.
After the seventh hole there is water to deal with and they do have a few small waterfalls. hHe water brings wild life, and your sure to see a lot of ducks, geese, and other birds. Not to mention the stealing squires you have to watch out for. Not as bad as at Coyote Hills, the squires at Costa Mesa's courses are very brave and very determined to steal your snacks. The more people feed them the more they come around.
